Events happening in H-Town during Super Bowl week

Super Bowl week is just around the corner and if you want to be a part of the festivities leading up to the big game, but can’t attend Super Bowl 51 there’s going to be a whole bunch of stuff going on in Downtown Houston beginning Saturday, January 28 and its going to be LIVE!!

What I personally recommend checking out is Super Bow LIVE, which is a FREE nine-day family-friendly fan festival in downtown Houston celebrating Super Bowl LI. Anchored in Discovery Green and encompassing more than 750,000 square feet, approximately the size of 13 football fields, Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon features live music and
performances, interactive exhibits, great food and a 90-foot tall virtual
reality trip to Mars.

Although a bit pricey, but if you can afford it I would hands down check out the NFL Experience at George R. Brown Convention Center while you’re out and about in Downtown. To simply put it NFL Experience is an NFL themed interactive theme park and is heaven for NFL fans. Trust me and thank me later.

I’m personally looking forward to the NFL Experience and all the multiple concerts happening throughout the day for nine days straight on multiple stages at Super Bowl Live AND Discovery Green. Talk about a music festival mixed with a sports festival! Head to http://www.housuperbowl.com/super-bowl-live for a full schedule of artists performing and let me know who you’re looking forward to seeing perform!

For art lovers like myself, there will be a couple of pop-up shops open in Downtown for a limited time. Check out www.downtownhouston.org for more information.

I would also check out local news sites, www.chron.com and Visit Houston for official Super Bowl LI guides.

Be sure to download the official Super Bowl LI app, follow @HouSuperBowl on Social Media and visit the official website of the Houston Super Bowl for any information on the big event.
